You May Have Been Ordered Closed, Not Muted

Since there have been Preachers, there have been local leaders.  Those called to be Preachers know the hours are long and the pay is short and is not the reason for becoming a Preacher. Often times Preachers don’t get to enjoy their days off. Some laugh at the idea of a day off.

The COVID-19 virus has given certain officials an excuse to order churches to shut down or not gather and/or not to sing.  Some churches argue that they must give unto Caesar what is Caesar’s and must shut down. Then there are a few, like John MacArthur, who believes that Preachers are called to preach the Gospel to all the world. They believe that they should obey God before man.  I see no written exceptions in the Bible or in history for preaching the Gospel to the world.

If anything, I see that history shows that when times are tough, people need a message of hope delivered by Preachers. During many periods of our history, it was the church which provided community support and it was the church which was the source of information.

The British targeted Preachers, who they called the Black Robe Regiment, during the Revolutionary War to censor the message of Liberty and Freedom.

Over the years, just as today, there are hirelings occupying the position of the Preacher, ready to accommodate Caesar. (1). A true Preacher is a servant of the flock, and a servant leader who is ready to rescue the one in his flock who has needs or goes astray.

The community today may appear be to partially isolated and we’re not, just the opposite: we’re bound in Jesus. “If one member suffers, all the members suffer” (v. 26 nasb). As believers in Jesus, members of God’s family, we move toward one another into the pain and into the sorrow and into those murky places where we would fear to go alone. Thankfully we do not go alone. Preachers are needed now more than ever to help heal the body, and the community, and the country. Hirelings won’t do. They will run in the face of difficulty.  The Gospel supports Law and Order and rebukes chaos. The Gospel teaches that the devil is the author of chaos.

Chaos relies on fear, anxiety, and corruption to control and intimidate people.

No matter what your trouble is, your helps comes from above. The peace that surpasses all understanding comes from above.

Conflict is part of life on earth. Peaceful resolutions come from above. Peacefully resolving conflicts is preferred by most parties.

Unfortunately there are those who have no interest in peaceful resolutions and, in which case, disengagement is warranted and third party assistance may be required. At times self defense may be required.

Let’s all try to be true servant leaders finding peaceful resolutions wherever possible.

Getting To The Root Of The Problem

Have you ever tried to fix a problem without knowing what the problem is? It’s like dropping your car off at the mechanic and giving him instructions to fix the car. The mechanic could give you a very expensive bill and still never fix the real problem. Unfortunately in life people and governments decide that something needs to be fixed, but never get to the heart of the problem so nothing gets fixed.

Most people would not construct a new home on quicksand, on a termite nest, or with rotted wood. Yet in life that is what many people have built their lives upon without even realizing it.

Governments have built programs upon quicksand, on a termite nest, or with rotted wood and wonder why they fail. Of course there have been several well-known government programs which were built with the idea that they will fail.

Long time readers know I am a student of history. In the 1600’s and 1700’s the usual source of information came from the Pulpit. The British tried to silence the Preachers in order to keep people uninformed as the British knew they could more easily control the population if the people only had the official Crown news. Those Preachers were called the Black Robe Regiment. There are still Preachers today who warn of various dangers. Sadly too many Preachers do not warn people, they prefer to deliver a feel good message.

“Brethren, we came to this country to practice our religious liberties, and if we don’t get involved, we’re going to lose them.” –John Peter Muhlenberg, 1777

The Black Robe Regiment…..arose from the pulpits across the colonies during the Revolutionary War. The movement had its beginnings with Reverend Peter Muhlenberg in 1776 concluding his Sunday sermon by declaring, “In the language of the Holy Writ, there was a time for all things, a time to preach and a time to pray, but those times have passed away. There is a time to fight, and that time is now coming!” Muhlenberg then removed his black robe revealing a full military uniform. Marching to the rear of his church he declared, “Who among you is with me?” On that day 300 men from his congregation stood up and joined Muhlenberg in the fight for liberty. (1)

Indeed Preachers are called to warn people.

As I witnessed the current events, such as the California dam problem, the violent protesters, and the anti-semitic attacks, and the rise of the money first drug companies I began looking for the root of the problems and real solutions. I don’t have all the answers but I will share some of my research.  Yes, we can start at the battle between good and evil in the Garden and the forbidden fruit. However I was looking for something more current.

If someone or a group goes to the trouble of printing and passing out their plan and you see that plan unfold it would be a good thing to study the plan. The plan being implemented is no longer a theory.  We shall know them by their fruits.

What I found was quite eye opening.

Karl Marx stated with a very small group As a university student, Karl Marx (1818-1883) joined a movement known as the Young Hegelians, who strongly criticized the political and cultural establishments of the day. He became a journalist, and the radical nature of his writings would eventually get him expelled by the governments of Germany, France and Belgium. In 1848, Marx and fellow German thinker Friedrich Engels published “The Communist Manifesto,” which introduced their concept of socialism as a natural result of the conflicts inherent in the capitalist system. Marx later moved to London, where he would live for the rest of his life. In 1867, he published the first volume of “Capital” (Das Kapital), in which he laid out his vision of capitalism and its inevitable tendencies toward self-destruction, and took part in a growing international workers’ movement based on his revolutionary theories (2)

Marx and his followers advocate the destruction of society as we know it with government being the highest authority, their god.

In 1963 at a congressional hearing a former RBI agent who wrote a book called The Naked Communist testified that communists had 45 stated goals to takeover. Many of them have been achieved.  The violent paid protesters are carrying out Marx’s plan http://www.commieblaster.com/news/communist-takeover-plan.html , https://archive.org/details/TheNakedCommunistByWCleonSkousen

For Marx to succeed the family must be destroyed. Women work supporting the government’s mission. Men are removed from the family and feminized. Children belong to the government. Individualization is punished and group think is the norm. Those who don’t fall in line are declared mentally ill and at the minimum are forced to take a variety of medications and under the control of the government doctors. There is no free speech and the Bill of Rights are abolished in practice.

The movie CULTURAL MARXISM: The Corruption of America does a good job of discussing Marx’s plan and how it is being implemented.

Is all hope lost, no! This is still a battle of good verse evil. Some years ago I wrote the Introduction to a book titled There Is Still Power in the Blood (3) which shows you how to battle the devil.

Paul Harvey did an excellent broadcast titled If I where the devil

There is still time to win this battle now that the root of the problem has been identified. It is now time to work on fixing it. We all need to do our part in saying no to those who are trying to destroy our country.

Next time you see those violent protesters on the news you’ll know the root of the problem.
