Getting To The Root Of The Problem

Have you ever tried to fix a problem without knowing what the problem is? It’s like dropping your car off at the mechanic and giving him instructions to fix the car. The mechanic could give you a very expensive bill and still never fix the real problem. Unfortunately in life people and governments decide that something needs to be fixed, but never get to the heart of the problem so nothing gets fixed.

Most people would not construct a new home on quicksand, on a termite nest, or with rotted wood. Yet in life that is what many people have built their lives upon without even realizing it.

Governments have built programs upon quicksand, on a termite nest, or with rotted wood and wonder why they fail. Of course there have been several well-known government programs which were built with the idea that they will fail.

Long time readers know I am a student of history. In the 1600’s and 1700’s the usual source of information came from the Pulpit. The British tried to silence the Preachers in order to keep people uninformed as the British knew they could more easily control the population if the people only had the official Crown news. Those Preachers were called the Black Robe Regiment. There are still Preachers today who warn of various dangers. Sadly too many Preachers do not warn people, they prefer to deliver a feel good message.

“Brethren, we came to this country to practice our religious liberties, and if we don’t get involved, we’re going to lose them.” –John Peter Muhlenberg, 1777

preacher-black-robe-reg

The Black Robe Regiment…..arose from the pulpits across the colonies during the Revolutionary War. The movement had its beginnings with Reverend Peter Muhlenberg in 1776 concluding his Sunday sermon by declaring, “In the language of the Holy Writ, there was a time for all things, a time to preach and a time to pray, but those times have passed away. There is a time to fight, and that time is now coming!” Muhlenberg then removed his black robe revealing a full military uniform. Marching to the rear of his church he declared, “Who among you is with me?” On that day 300 men from his congregation stood up and joined Muhlenberg in the fight for liberty. (1)

Indeed Preachers are called to warn people.

As I witnessed the current events, such as the California dam problem, the violent protesters, and the anti-semitic attacks, and the rise of the money first drug companies I began looking for the root of the problems and real solutions. I don’t have all the answers but I will share some of my research.  Yes, we can start at the battle between good and evil in the Garden and the forbidden fruit. However I was looking for something more current.

If someone or a group goes to the trouble of printing and passing out their plan and you see that plan unfold it would be a good thing to study the plan. The plan being implemented is no longer a theory.  We shall know them by their fruits.

What I found was quite eye opening.

Karl Marx stated with a very small group As a university student, Karl Marx (1818-1883) joined a movement known as the Young Hegelians, who strongly criticized the political and cultural establishments of the day. He became a journalist, and the radical nature of his writings would eventually get him expelled by the governments of Germany, France and Belgium. In 1848, Marx and fellow German thinker Friedrich Engels published “The Communist Manifesto,” which introduced their concept of socialism as a natural result of the conflicts inherent in the capitalist system. Marx later moved to London, where he would live for the rest of his life. In 1867, he published the first volume of “Capital” (Das Kapital), in which he laid out his vision of capitalism and its inevitable tendencies toward self-destruction, and took part in a growing international workers’ movement based on his revolutionary theories (2)

Marx and his followers advocate the destruction of society as we know it with government being the highest authority, their god.

In 1963 at a congressional hearing a former RBI agent who wrote a book called The Naked Communist testified that communists had 45 stated goals to takeover. Many of them have been achieved.  The violent paid protesters are carrying out Marx’s plan http://www.commieblaster.com/news/communist-takeover-plan.html , https://archive.org/details/TheNakedCommunistByWCleonSkousen

For Marx to succeed the family must be destroyed. Women work supporting the government’s mission. Men are removed from the family and feminized. Children belong to the government. Individualization is punished and group think is the norm. Those who don’t fall in line are declared mentally ill and at the minimum are forced to take a variety of medications and under the control of the government doctors. There is no free speech and the Bill of Rights are abolished in practice.

The movie CULTURAL MARXISM: The Corruption of America does a good job of discussing Marx’s plan and how it is being implemented.

Is all hope lost, no! This is still a battle of good verse evil. Some years ago I wrote the Introduction to a book titled There Is Still Power in the Blood (3) which shows you how to battle the devil.

Paul Harvey did an excellent broadcast titled If I where the devil

There is still time to win this battle now that the root of the problem has been identified. It is now time to work on fixing it. We all need to do our part in saying no to those who are trying to destroy our country.

Next time you see those violent protesters on the news you’ll know the root of the problem.

Access Denied

January 1, 2016

hope rejoice sacredtouches

By Rev Paul N. Papas II

December 29, 2015

In this day and age most of us are used to conducing internet searches for all kinds of things. Have you ever typed in a subject about a current event to be told by the search engine ‘Access Denied’ ?  I was last week. I tried a different search engine and was able to obtain information about the event.

It is likely you have heard of issues concerning the care of Veterans by the current Veterans Administration.  The Veterans who are patients at a VA Hospital are not faring much better with their physical or spiritual needs.   Prayers by Chaplains must be prescreened for offensive words, like Jesus. This means that their access is being denied to hear the Word of God.

A few years ago, as a matter of conscience, I ended my status as a volunteer Chaplain as I would not allow anyone to prescreen prayers.

Combat Veterans were asked to do nearly impossible missions of securing territory at great personal risk of harm to themselves in the face of danger. Some Veterans rescued others without regard to their own safety. Some Veterans gave all they had and will never raise sons and daughters. Veterans gave so much so that our nation would be free.

There are many people who suffer from fear, anxiety, or PTSD with a multitude of possible causes or causal events. Each sufferer of fear, anxiety, or PTSD can be helped.  One help that has proven successful for many is their reliance upon their spiritual faith.  A good spiritual life gives hope.  Hope is a key to healing. People who have hope can endure suffering, while looking forward to that hope.

Man is not all you can see. He has a spiritual aspect, or as some say, a spiritual body.  Both the physical and spiritual aspects, or bodies, must be exercised to be strong and make a whole person.

The answer as to why some people deny others hope goes back to the Garden of Eden when the snake lied to and misled Eve who passed on the lie to Adam, denying access to hope.  Misery loves company.

Have you ever noticed that some people complain about every little thing, they seem to enjoy taking the joy out of life?

Isn’t it a pleasure to be around people who seem to smile from the inside?smile

Both the complainer and the smiler could be experiencing the worst times of their lives and you would not know it unless you got to know them. Who would you rather get to know the complainer or the smiler?

Most likely the complainer does not have a good spiritual foundation and is full of darkness. It is also just as likely that the smiler has a good spiritual foundation and lets the light shine through.

The smiler is more likely to handle bad situations better, require less medical attention, and heal faster.

Veterans gave a Blank Check which could have included their death to Uncle Sam in order to keep this country the Home of the Brave and the Land of the Free. The least we could do is give the Veterans hope and the care when needed.  Let’s break open the doors to the VA and let some fresh air, light and hope shine in!

always a soldier

Sustained by Soil

September 4, 2015

Soil_ breakdown physicalgeography net
September 1, 2015 By Rev. Paul N. Papas II

We came from soil, we go back to soil, and we are sustained by soil. That makes soil a pretty important part of our lives. What’s the difference between soil and dirt? Dirt is what you find under your fingernails. Soil is what you find under your feet.

Think of soil as a thin living skin that covers the earth. It goes down into the ground just a short way. Even the most fertile topsoil is only a foot or so deep. Soil is more than rock particles. It includes all the living things and the materials they make or change.

Soil itself is very complex. It would be very wrong to think of soils as just a collection of fine mineral particles. Soil also contains air, water, dead organic matter, and various types of living organisms. The formation of a soil is influenced by organisms, climate, topography, parent material, and time.

Soil is also critical to our ecosystem and water cycle. The rain has to go somewhere, be held, feed plants and animals and evaporate, creating more rain. Different soils support different vegetation which are eaten or decay as part of the life cycle.

“And to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the heavens and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food.” And it was so.”
Genesis 1:3

Some of the decayed plants and animals are consumed by us in the form of fuel.

Soil based products or organisms are used by us often such as glass and some medications.

Jesus taught the Parable of the Sower discussing Four Soils. A Parable is simply an earthly story with a heavenly meaning.

He said, “A farmer went out to plant his seed. He scattered the seed on the ground. Some fell on a path. Birds came and ate it up. Some seed fell on rocky places, where there wasn’t much soil. The plants came up quickly, because the soil wasn’t deep. When the sun came up, it burned the plants. They dried up because they had no roots. Other seed fell among thorns. The thorns grew up and crowded out the plants. Still other seed fell on good soil. It produced a crop 100, 60 or 30 times more than what was planted. Those who have ears should listen and understand.” Matthew 13: 1-9

The four soils represent the hearts of different kinds of people: the way they hear truth; and they way will conduct themselves after being confronted by the truth. Some simply can’t handle the truth.

Hard Path: Some of the seed fell on a path, and the birds came and ate it up. Some people hear the truth, but like hardened paths, they do not let it sink into their hearts Soon Satan takes the truth away. (In the Bible, birds are sometimes a picture of Satan.) If people do not receive and respond to the word with faith, their opportunity will be stolen by the evil one.

Rocky Places: Next, some of the seed fell onto rocky places. These people hear the message with great joy, but like seeds on rocky soil, they do not let it take root. They seem to be happy to hear about Jesus (the Truth) and His great love, but they do not let it sink into their hearts. On the outside, they may express great enthusiasm, but inwardly, they do not carefully consider it. There were great crowds who followed Jesus, but only a few were His true disciples. When these people face pressure or bad circumstances, they quickly forget about the Truth. A true believer follows Jesus no matter what.

Thorns: Still other seed fell among thorns. Some people hear the Truth and start to grow and bear fruit. But soon they become worried about the problems of daily living. They may think if they only had more money and more “things” they would be happy. These wrong beliefs take up all the person’s time and energy, just like the weeds steal all the nutrients from the good plants. These people do not focus on living in the Truth, so they don’t produce any spiritual fruit. There is nothing wrong with the sower or the seed. The problem is the soil, the person who hears the Truth. He must trust the Truth to deliver him from his worries and greed so that he can grow in the Truth.

Good Soil: Still other seed fell on good soil. It produced a crop 100, 60, or 30 times more than what was planted. Isn’t it great to know that some of the seed fell on good soil? This represents the people who heard the Truth and believed it. They put their trust in the Truth. Their hearts received the message of the kingdom, and the seed will take root.

There is a lot going on in our world today that can be traced to the Parable of the Sower.

People are being assaulted, shot, raped, murdered, or beheaded because the were in the wrong place, wore the wrong clothing, belonged to the wrong group or because they disagreed or used some word or phrase that arbitrarily became a real or imagined offense. Those who perpetrate the manipulation and crimes I just described would have in years past been placed in a locked ward for a significant amount of time for being a danger to themselves or others. Instead they presently have a significant influence upon what is being said on some media. Those who perpetrate the manipulation and crimes I described heard the truth and it fell on the hard path, rocky places or among the thorns.

Fortunately there are enough around who heard the Truth and it fell on the good soil. When it is time to rebuild what the others have destroyed it will done by those who have the deep rooted Truth growing in the good soil.

The good news is you can choose to plant Truth in the good soil at anytime.

Ward And June Cleaver Criminalized

June 5, 2015

the cleavers
June 2, 2015 By Rev Paul N. Papas II

Ward and June Cleaver were characters in the American television sitcom Leave It to Beaver. Ward and his wife, June, are often invoked as archetypal suburban parents of the baby-boomer 1950s. The couple is the parents of Wally, a thirteen-year-old in the eighth grade, and seven-year-old (“almost eight”) second-grader Theodore, nicknamed “The Beaver”.

A typical episode from Leave It to Beaver follows a misadventure committed by one or both of the boys, and ends with the culprits receiving a moral lesson from their father and a hot meal from their mother.

Parents Ward and June, and older brother Wally, try to keep Theodore (‘the Beaver’) out of trouble. However, Beaver continued to end up in one kind of jam or another. These situations are easily resolved to the satisfaction of all involved.

Instigator and troublemaker Eddie Haskell is an older kid who always manages to avoid being caught. The following snippet provides a glimpse of Eddie’s two edged tongue.

Eddie Haskell: Wally, if your dumb brother tags along, I’m gonna – oh, good afternoon, Mrs. Cleaver. I was just telling Wallace how pleasant it would be for Theodore to accompany us to the movies.

The Beaver’s friend Larry got into a little bit of a problem. Beaver could have been helpful in exhorting Larry that he was on the wrong path. Beaver chose to remain silent.

Ward Cleaver: Beaver, you know what Larry was doing was wrong. You could have stopped him.

Theodore “Beaver” Cleaver: Gee, Dad, I have enough trouble keeping myself good without keeping all the other kids good.

Yes, this was a popular TV show in the 1950s; however it represents the values of the times. Eisenhower was President. Prayer or Bible readings started the school days. Five then Nineteen inch Black and White TV went off the air for the night. If a bra was shown in an advertisement, it was on a mannequin. Telephone line wires were relied upon to set up coast to coast reports.

Today there isn’t much you can’t see on the wall size flat screen TVs. With instant Satellite coverage world wide you can see inside each hair follicle of each newsmaker.

You may see a bra on today’s TV shows in a string of clothes on the floor leading to the next sex scene in the bedroom.

The values today have changed, morals have not. Too many today do not believe there are any absolutes. Consequently too many have a sliding scale of right and wrong. Those who have sliding scale of right and wrong built their morals on quicksand instead of upon a Solid Rock.

This sliding scale of right and wrong has flipped our society on its head. Those with a sliding scale of right and wrong are bullying, demeaning, and trying to silence those who have a rock solid absolute understanding of right and wrong.

Traditional Ward and June Cleaver families are called old fashion, sexist, homophobic, racists, and even hateful. Traditional Ward and June Cleavers are having their businesses ruined by those who have sliding scale of right and wrong as their foundation. There have been too many recent news stories of bakers, photographers, florists, to name a few who have faced persecution for their faith.

Many who warn those living in a house built on quicksand are brought to court, jailed or confined in a Mental Health facility. A recent news report of a decorated Marine comes to mind. The Marine Combat Veteran had his life forever changed by those with a sliding scale of right and wrong for making comments on Facebook. He was forcibly arrested, without a warrant and committed to a Mental Health facility because of his comments. The Supreme Court recently refused to hear his case against the Police Department. I have published previous articles about the weaponizing mental health to silence opposition.

Traditional Ward and June Cleavers are not going to change their values to accommodate those with a sliding scale of right and wrong, they are certain in what they believe and in whom they believe. There are not enough chains, bars or drugs that will deter traditional Ward and June Cleavers. They may be criminalized and they may be what is needed to turn this society around.

The next quote from Beaver reflects what is missing in many people today: Theodore “Beaver” Cleaver: “You know something, Wally? I’d rather do nothin’ with you than somethin’ with anybody else.”

It is true you can prevent a forest fire; it is also true that you can prevent a conflagration committed by those with sliding scale of right and wrong. The criminalization of traditional Ward and June Cleavers can be stopped by you.

WILL Traditional Marriage Become A Mental Disorder?

July 5, 2013

19608519-groom-with-a-suitcase-seeks-a-way-for-a-honeymoon
By Rev. Paul N. Papas II
1 July 13

This is the week we celebrate our Independence from tyrannical rule.

Unless you’ve been on an island without any access to news or current events, you’ve noticed we have several wars going on…..right here, in this country. We have a War on Coal; War on Jobs; War on Parents Rights; War on Terror (maybe); War on taxpayers by the IRS; War on Children; War on our Privacy; War on the Constitution; War on the Press; War on Sugar; War on Christians; War on Big Gulps; War on French Fries; War on the First, Second, and Fourth Amendments; and a War on Traditional Marriage, just to name a few. If they can’t legislate it, they’ll bury it in regulations.

According to the powers that be, if you don’t agree them, they’ll try to silence you….the powers that be have used public humiliation and ridicule as tools of silencing you. They have attempted to have people declared to have a medical condition of a mental illness or as they say a mental disorder in order to silence people. They will try to isolate their opponents to try to make them irrelevant. Some have the belief that if they present the lie often enough and loud enough, then it becomes the truth. The same people don’t believe in absolutes. Darkness can not exist in the light.

The Supreme Court recently decided to let each state establish its own definition of marriage in the California Prop 8 matter. No matter how many times, or how loud some people shout, the Biblical definition of marriage will not change. It is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. The Biblical definition of marriage is one man and one woman united as one.

Dissenting from the Supreme Court’s opinion on the Defense of Marriage Act, Justice Antonin Scalia – as expected – held nothing back:

In the majority’s telling, this story is black-and-white: Hate your neighbor or come along with us. The truth is more complicated. It is hard to admit that one’s political opponents are not monsters, especially in a struggle like this one, and the challenge in the end proves more than today’s Court can handle. Too bad. A reminder that disagreement over something so fundamental as marriage can still be politically legitimate, would have been a fit task for what in earlier times was called the judicial temperament. We might have covered ourselves with honor today by promising all sides of this debate that it was theirs to settle and that we would respect their resolution. We might have let the People decide, but that, the majority will not do.

Some will rejoice in today’s decision and some will despair at it. That is the nature of a controversy that matters so much to so many. But the Court has cheated both sides by robbing the winners of an honest victory, and robbing the losers of the peace that comes from a fair defeat. We owed both of them better. I dissent.

Considering the recent changes in the DSM and the current increased use of the medical condition of a mental illness as a weapon against their opposition, will Traditional Marriage soon be considered a mental disorder? Only time will tell. No matter how many times, or how loud some people shout, the Biblical definition of marriage will not change. It is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. The Biblical definition of marriage is still one man and one woman united as one.

Whether or not America has a future worth having, doesn’t depend on what happens in Washington, D.C., or on what happens in the Supreme Court, or in the Congress. It depends on what happens with you, and people just like you; your family, and families just like yours; and your church, and churches just like yours with godly pastors after God’s heart and church members thirsting for God’s Word. Our future is in His hands (Psalm 121:1-2).

Independence Day is a wonderful day to reflect on the precious freedoms we enjoy in this great country. It is a day to give thanks to our Almighty God whose hand has surely been upon this nation. And it is day to commit anew our resolve to pray for spiritual revival to sweep across our nation. Richard Land, president of the Southern Baptist Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission

As we celebrate the winning of our Freedom from tyrannical rule, we are reminded that Freedom comes with a price. To remain free takes constant vigilance. To remain free requires us to reject any form of tyrannical rule, wherever it might come from. Our Founding Fathers ensured that we have the Right to disagree. Some today want that Right only allowed to those who agree with them….or they’ll drone you?

Enjoy your Freedom. Remember the cost it took to get it and it takes to keep it.
