During my 12 years of service as a Justice of the Peace I had the pleasure of joining over 2,500 men to women as married couples. I was asked many times what I thought about being ‘born-again’ to which I answered ‘I don’t need to be born again, I was born right the first time.’ Obviously I was wrong and God had His way of teaching me the correct answer which is in order to enter the Kingdom of God one must be born again.
Of the 16 times I was on the ballot I won 11 times in the 70’s and early 80’s.
Entering the Kingdom of God takes only one person to decide…..You!

“Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.”—Acts 11:18.
Jesus said, “Repent and believe in the gospel” (Mk 1:15). Repentance begins with a recognition and confession that what God says is true: He will not excuse the guilty, we are all sinners, & Christ has died for our sins. A genuine recognition of our sinfulness and guilt will also lead to genuine sorrow, shame and even hatred for what we have done.
Apparent sincerity of confession alone is never definite evidence of genuine repentance. It must be accompanied by a turning away from sin.
One must put their faith in Jesus alone for salvation. Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me” (Jn 10:27). This is not just a one time prayer but a whole new lifestyle. Repent and believe the good news today, because the truth is – YOU MAY NOT HAVE TOMORROW!
